The Lincoln Memorial, a neoclassical monument to the 16th president, required lighting upgrades that emphasized energy efficiency and low maintenance, while enhancing the legibility of the building’s details and inscriptions. The project also included road improvements and security barriers, focusing on controlling traffic flow. At the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, preservation work encompassed the colonnade floor, dome, ceiling, and other architectural elements. Security designs were implemented to protect the site, incorporating bollards, low walls, and gates to manage the high volume of tourist traffic.
